Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading global cryptocurrency company and contribute directly to our brand and content strategy.

This internship is available for 6 months on a full-time basis or part-time (minimum 20 hours per week).

You must have valid working rights in Hong Kong over the course of the internship period.

You are required to work in the office a minimum of 2 days a week. An allowance is provided for this role.

Key Responsibilities

The Marketing Intern will be a crucial support across our content, social media, and brand initiatives, including:

• Content Creation: Draft engaging, creative copy for social media (primarily X/Twitter) and write evergreen articles relevant to crypto trading and the broader industry.
• Social & Trend Monitoring: Actively monitor social media platforms to identify emerging industry trends, breaking market news, and relevant discussions within the crypto space.
• Performance Reporting: Compile, organise, and present comprehensive metric reports for social media, press releases, advertising campaigns, and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) initiatives.
• Content Strategy: Collaborate with the PR & Brand Manager to maintain a rigorous content calendar, ensuring all content aligns with upcoming campaigns, product launches, and core branding pillars.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise effectively with the Design Team to prepare and procure necessary visual assets for marketing and campaign launches.
• Web Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and updating the BitMEX website based on requests from internal stakeholder teams.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-moving environment and possess the following qualities:

• Self-Starter & Digital Savvy: A highly creative, self-starter mentality. Must be digitally savvy with a proven ability to quickly identify and capitalise on social media trends.
• Organised & Detail-Oriented: Demonstrates extremely high attention to detail in all tasks, from reporting to content drafting, and possesses excellent organisational skills.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior Crypto Knowledge (A Big Plus): Previous knowledge of, or active interaction with, crypto trading, particularly crypto derivatives trading, is a significant advantage.
• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Finance, or a related field.
