Overview
Amazon is investing in generative AI and the responsible development and deployment of large language models (LLMs) across all of our businesses. We are seeking candidates who think creatively and strive to expand possibilities. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, based in our London office, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and follow strict confidentiality, prioritizing customer privacy.
- Work with diverse data types, including text, speech, audio, image, and video.
- Deliver high-quality labeled data using provided guidelines to meet KPIs, leveraging in-house tools and software as part of Amazon's AI responsibility initiative.
- Generate high-quality human insight data across modalities (text, image, video, audio).
- Make sound judgments and logical decisions when faced with ambiguous or incomplete information while performing tasks.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to pivot between requirement categories as needed.
- Provide daily operational support for multiple task types assigned to you and the team.
- Analyze root causes, identify error patterns, and propose solutions to improve labeling quality.
- Identify day-to-day process and operational issues in SOPs and tools; suggest changes to unblock operations.
- Provide floor support to clarify internal queries during execution as needed.
A Day in the Life
We are seeking a ML Data Associate (MLDA) to perform foundational labeling tasks, including dialogue evaluation on speech, text, audio, and video data. Your concentration, multi-tasking ability, and meticulous attention to detail will help you deliver high-quality work while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to Amazon policies for securing confidential information. You will work within a diverse team focused on improving customers’ lives with practical, useful generative AI innovations. An inner drive, individuality, and a creative mindset are highly beneficial.
Basic Qualifications
- An Associate’s Degree or relevant work experience
- CEFR C1+ fluency in Dutch
- Written and spoken English proficiency (CEFR B2+)
- Strong business writing skills with the ability to create reports, proposals, and professional correspondence
- Advanced reading comprehension with the ability to analyze complex business documents
- Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to interpret and implement detailed instructions across various projects
- Proven attention to detail in managing complex tasks and documents
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Proven experience with demonstrated task execution ability
- Ability to leverage open-source resources effectively for research
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
- Project coordination or management experience (for support functions teams)
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships across departments
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications
