Role
As an M&A Analyst within our team, you will play a crucial role in the origination and execution of public and private mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures across all industry sectors. You will collaborate with team members and colleagues from various industry, coverage, and product teams in different regions to gain hands-on experience, receive mentoring, and benefit from ongoing opportunities for professional development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute bespoke, sophisticated M&A processes in close collaboration with clients, industry teams, coverage teams, and other product teams.
- Support origination of new M&A business focusing on Central & Eastern Europe, Greece, Turkey, and Central Asia.
- Drive M&A transactions from launch to closing, including preparation, investor outreach, deal structuring, and overall transaction management.
- Develop financial analyses and valuation models to help clients evaluate investment opportunities, potential capital structures, or alternative monetisation paths.
- Work with management teams to prepare transaction materials, including business plans, performance analyses, due diligence reports, and marketing materials.
- Support final negotiations and help drive deals across the finish line.
- Design, organize, and manage M&A processes.
- Support management of the bank’s regional franchise.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant full-time investment banking experience, particularly in M&A and Corporate Finance.
- Strong interest in and understanding of M&A processes and transaction lifecycles.
- Desire to achieve optimal transaction outcomes and create value for clients.
- Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, advisors, and stakeholders in other lines of business.
- Willingness to work across sectors and exposure to various M&A transactions (sell-sides, buy-sides, carve-outs, restructurings, etc.).
- Proficient technical ability and corporate finance proficiency, including strong modelling skills (LBO, DCF, DDM) and knowledge of broader investment banking products.
- Ability to take ownership across a transaction, with exposure to industry, country, and product teams.
- Initiative to support multiple transactions in parallel and manage time across competing demands.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
