Job Title

Marketing Intern (Full-time, 6-month internship) – July 2026 start date

Key Responsibilities

• Implement marketing campaigns across in-app and external channels and measure campaign performance.
• Ensure day-to-day operational excellence of marketing activities.
• Conceptualize social media strategy and manage/execute ideas on social platforms. Create engaging, informative, and visually appealing content.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to produce and develop marketing assets.
• Support the team with data reporting and generating insights.
• Monitor user behavior and engagement within the Carousell app and provide insights to improve campaign performance.
• Ideate and test low-cost social content. Generate creative ideas and concepts for engaging social media content. Utilize basic filming and editing skills to create simple videos.
• Stay updated with social media trends and adapt content creation strategies accordingly.
• Leverage AI tools to brainstorm social concepts and optimize copywriting for different platforms.
• Provide adhoc operational support for the marketing team.

Qualifications

• Full-time, 6-month internship starting July 2026. Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing or Business at a Polytechnic or University.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their content requirements.
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Basic video editing and content creation skills using tools such as CapCut, Canva, or similar platforms (advantage).
• Ability to generate insights and recommendations from large datasets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and/or Google Suite applications, particularly Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, and PowerPoint/Slides.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Innovative mindset and creative problem-solving within operating constraints.
• Self-starter and multi-tasker with strong project management capability.
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Keen interest in Carousell and how secondhand marketplaces operate.
• Basic proficiency in using Generative AI to assist in content creation and data summarization.
• Availability to commit to full-time work for 6 months.
