Job Overview
As an Analyst in Institutional Equity Sales you will be responsible for partnering with a team of senior equity salespeople, helping to maintain and develop key investor client relationships. We are seeking someone with a strong intellectual curiosity, a passion for equity markets, high organization and attention to detail, and the ability to perform well under high-pressure situations with the appropriate degree of urgency.
Job Responsibilities
- Supporting senior equity salespeople, attending corporate management IPO and follow-on presentations, backup coverage of existing equity relationships
- Navigating products effectively across a broad range of clients (asset managers, insurance accounts, pension funds, banks, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, etc.) along with idea generation and market insight
- Bringing a collaborative approach by working with our business partners in trading, research, banking, and syndicate to provide comprehensive client coverage across the platform
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in sales
- Hard-working and self-motivated team player; works well in small groups and collaborates with partners in Research, Trading, and Capital Markets
- Critical thinker with the goal of helping motivate stock idea generations and themes for clients
- Understanding of fundamental product knowledge and market structure
- Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative skill set including effective communication and presentation
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Series 7 & 63 license preferred but not required initially; candidate is expected to complete these licenses if not already held
