Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and contribute to our Investment Banking business. As an Analyst in Investment Banking DACH DCM team, you will participate in all client activities, including marketing, execution, ongoing client relationship management and idea generation. You will play a vital role in helping to win new business, developing client relationships at a junior level, and managing internal processes for deal executions and internal approvals.

There will be exposure to a wide range of teams within Investment Banking, including Fixed Income Syndicate, Legal, Capital Structuring, Ratings Advisory, Credit and M&A/Coverage. You will be working in a dynamic, demanding, and team-focused environment in Debt Capital Markets, with Corporate clients as well as Financial Institutions. Job responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the execution of funding and capital markets transactions across Investment Grade bonds, loans, and liability management.
  • Participate in the pitching process, helping to win new business and develop client relationships at a junior level.
  • Participate in the execution and pitching of acquisition financing deals in coordination with M&A/Coverage, Ratings Advisory and Credit teams.
  • Prepare and review pitch books and marketing materials for client meetings.
  • Prepare and review market updates for clients in written and verbal format.
  • Manage internal processes for deal pitching and executions.
  • Contribute to the integration of AI-enabled tools into day-to-day workflows (e.g., research, drafting, analysis, process automation) to enhance productivity and quality, in partnership with relevant stakeholders and in line with firm controls.
  • Work closely with Syndicate, Structuring, Legal, M&A, Ratings Advisory, Credit and Corporate Banking teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Relevant Investment Banking or Accounting experience (DCM, ALF, ECM, IB coverage, etc.).
  • Ability to interact with clients and people in a professional and mature manner.
  • Relevant quantitative and analytical skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Bloomberg.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient German language is preferred.
  • Commitment to a teamwork environment and partnership.
  • High level of attention to detail and time management with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, able to multi-task and manage projects independently.
  • Interest and familiarity with AI/GenAI tools and automation to support research and analytics.

The successful candidate will be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and, where appropriate, approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
