UK Pioneer Work Experience Programme in Birmingham – Summer 2026

Overview

Rothschild & Co's Pioneer Work Experience Programme is designed for year 11–13 students who are considering a career in financial advisory. This programme, centered on our Global Advisory division in Birmingham, provides an introduction to our M&A, Debt and Restructuring, and Global Markets Solutions businesses, offering valuable insight into life as a banker at Rothschild & Co. Participants will have the opportunity to network with bankers from the Global Advisory division based in Birmingham and will spend a day at Rothschild & Co’s head office in London. We hope the programme inspires a career in financial advisory, and a stay-in-touch programme will be offered to those interested in a career with us.

Programme Details

Application close date: 15 July 2026. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early applications are advised.

• Eligibility: Open to students in years 11–13
• Duration: 5-day programme
• Start date: August 2026
• Location: Birmingham, with 1 day in London, United Kingdom

During the programme, you will network with bankers from the Global Advisory division in Birmingham and spend a day at Rothschild & Co’s head office in London. A stay-in-touch programme will be available for those interested in pursuing a career with us.

Eligibility & Competencies

• A minimum of 60 points from the top eight GCSEs (or, if the candidate is in year 11, predicted grades at that level)
• Motivation to learn, an interest in financial advisory, and strong teamwork skills
