Global Banking - Leveraged Debt Capital Markets

Are you a leader in innovation with the ability to develop creative financing ideas for clients? We’re seeking a professional who can identify client financing needs, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and drive financing strategies that meet client goals.

Responsibilities

• Identify and meet clients' financing needs, coordinating with external and internal stakeholders, including senior colleagues, legal counsels, investors, and credit risk control.
• Create partnerships by expanding the depth and breadth of client relationships.
• Develop pitch book presentations to explain financing trends, discuss client financing options, and recommend financing strategies to meet client goals.
• Assist and support the team through the entire deal lifecycle, including pitching, mandate, syndication, documentation, and closing.
• Act as the first line of defense and own risk. Conduct due diligence on projects and monitor financing transactions from closing to final repayment.
• Review and analyze financial models for financing transactions.
• Support the team to prepare materials and present recommendations to the credit committee.
• Draft term sheets and assist with documentation for loan financings.
• Draft information memorandums and answer Q&As from syndicate banks and investors.
• Maintain relationships with syndicate banks and investors.
• Make sound and balanced judgments within professional, ethical, regulatory, and legal standards.

Team, Location & Focus

Based in Hong Kong, you will join the Financing team of the Global Banking division, covering Asia ex-Japan ex-Australia. The team provides financing advice, solutions, execution, and full access to the world’s capital markets for corporate, institutional, and wealth management clients. The Financing Team originates corporate loan financings, acquisition financings, leveraged buyouts, bridge financings, unlisted and illiquid structured financings. UBS commits principal in structured and complex financing transactions, underwriting, originating, and distributing loans to a diverse range of investors including banks, credit funds, and hedge funds.

Requirements

• Ideally 1–2 years of working experience in leveraged financing, loan capital markets, or structured finance in a corporate and investment banking setting.
• A university degree in business administration, economics, or finance.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, whether presenting to clients or senior executives.
