Position Overview

kdb+/q developers at Squarepoint work closely with researchers and traders to design, implement, test, and maintain our service-oriented kdb+ architecture. As a kdb+/q developer, you will contribute to designing our model of reality, normalizing diverse datasets to generate it. You will also build robust, scalable infrastructure to expose data to users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain service-oriented kdb+ architecture.
• Normalize diverse datasets to support modeling and decision-making.
• Build robust, scalable infrastructure to expose data to users worldwide.
• Own key parts of the infrastructure and provide level 2+ support for critical services during live trading.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject
• Up to 4 years of experience in a relevant role using kdb+/q
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop with the team
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience designing, testing, optimizing, and troubleshooting data-intensive applications
• Experience analyzing and organizing financial data
• Experience with Python, C++, or Rust
• Experience with other database management systems and related technologies such as SQL
