The Investment20/20 Programme

We are proud to be part of the Investment20/20 initiative. We are recruiting for a number of 12-month placements across the business. You’ll have the chance to play an active role, contribute to the function’s success, gain industry knowledge and experience, and develop relationships. These roles are traineeship opportunities for school leavers, offering entry-level work experiences that will inspire and challenge you.

What are we looking for?

As the Trainee for the Real Estate Living Investments team, you will cover European living investments and business development, assisting the Senior Director with a focus on student housing (Purpose Built Student Accommodation) investments.

Role Responsibilities

• Business Development: research for new conviction areas / alternative “living” asset classes; support preparation of materials for presenting market opportunity and IRE strategy to internal committees and external clients.
• Asset Management: assist the team and support best-practice processes with local teams for Purpose-Built Student Accommodation assets; prepare templates; drive performance via targeted data collection and reporting; prepare data presentations and analysis.
• Investments: analyze potential investment opportunities; source comparable evidence; set up, modify and run cash flow models; conduct sensitivity analysis.
• Market Intelligence: learn and track capital market activity within European Living Sectors; create and maintain contacts in the investment market.
• Transactions: assist with transactional processes for selected investments; support the Senior Director with review of legal agreements and input/support local investment team execution; attend meetings and inspections.
• Profile: analytical and numerate with attention to detail; hardworking and proactive; collaborative with high-quality interpersonal skills; computer literate (Excel skills and knowledge of relevant real estate software).

What do we need from you?

• Computer literate with excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of real estate software.
• Analytical and numerate with a high degree of accuracy; hardworking and proactive; able to prioritize; confident, self-motivated and articulate; able to work as part of a small team, primarily assisting the Senior Director.
