Responsibilities
- Operation and Maintenance: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of UPW and WWTP systems to ensure they run efficiently and within specified parameters. Address operational issues promptly for optimal performance.
- Quality Control: Ensure water and wastewater system quality, maintain regulatory compliance, and conduct regular inspections to uphold standards.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly resolve routine and non-routine problems to restore services, using systematic approaches to identify and fix issues.
- System Improvement: Identify and address issues to enhance system stability and reliability, implementing improvements to prevent future problems.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety compliance and adhere to government regulations, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Project Collaboration: Work with system engineers on environmental sustainability projects, focusing on energy reduction, water conservation, and waste recycling initiatives.
- Contractor & Vendor Coordination: Liaise with contractors and vendors to implement corrective and preventive maintenance programs, ensuring activities are carried out effectively.
- Maintenance Activities: Perform PM/CM activities for systems per SOP, Risk Assessment (RA), and Permit to Work (PTP) requirements to ensure safe and efficient maintenance.
- Issue Response: Troubleshoot and respond promptly to out-of-spec conditions and disruptions to minimize downtime.
- Safety & Compliance Support: Support and enforce safety compliance and government regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Documentation & Inventory: Generate and update maintenance work orders, and check inventories in the Facility Management System (FMS) to keep records accurate.
- TPM Adherence: Ensure ongoing operation and maintenance activities align with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
- EHSS: Understand LOTO devices used during PM/CM, perform PTW and RA for PM/CM work, and follow safety procedures for confined spaces, electrical, fire, and chemical hazards.
- PPE & Safety Protocols: Select and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for PM/CM activities and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Chemical or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Office and other analytics tools, excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: Relevant experience in water or wastewater systems, or equivalent.
