Role Overview
The role will be part of the Equity Synthetic Products Trading team. The team’s primary focus is to grow our client franchise offerings for synthetic products such as equity swaps, in addition to working on efficient management of the firm’s equity inventory and funding. The SPG trading team will work closely with sales to cover clients from trading perspective, take and execute orders along with pursuing trading ideas.
Job Responsibilities
- Synthetic franchise – Manage the day-to-day operation and integrity of the synthetic platform, ensuring all client trades are executed and booked smoothly.
- Flow risk – Lead daily risk management processes and improve equity, FX, and cross-currency risk hedging strategies.
- Product management – Lead multiple strategies and engineering teams towards strategic goals under a netting, locates, pricing, and axe context.
- Client strategy – Partner with sales and coverage teams to execute coordinated strategies that target client balance and flow growth using the financing product suite.
- Data analytics – Perform extensive data analytics to quantify client behaviors and trends, identify inefficiencies across the books, and optimize risk and inventory strategies.
- Broker relationships – Build relationships with various trading counterparts and expand product and trading opportunities across asset classes.
- PNL controls – Maintain P&L controls, performing comprehensive reviews and cross-business reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial performance reporting.
Basic Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record.
- 1–3 years’ experience in trading.
- Strong interest in global financial markets and derivatives.
- Experience in data analytics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal (written and verbal) skills.
- Fluency in Python.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver under pressure.
- Solid work ethic and high levels of motivation.
