Role Overview

We are seeking a 6-month contractor with a positive, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach to join the APAC Operations Onboarding Team in Singapore. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, collaborates well with various teams, values data integrity, and is comfortable working with automation tools. You will support key regional transition events—including client onboarding, fund launches and restructures—while working alongside a close-knit team and liaising with both internal stakeholders (across APAC and EMEA) and external partners such as clients, custodians, and fund administrators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate client take-on, fund launches and portfolio setup activities for the region
  • Support data change and setup requirements arising from BAU activities, portfolio restructures, mergers, closures, custody changes
  • Support external and internal stakeholder queries and ensure that they are investigated and responded to within agreed timelines
  • Handle incremental market access requests from the Investment Desks
  • Support the team in constructing strategic Product Strategies data in master database
  • Escalate potential problems before they become a risk
  • Contribute to Company and Department initiatives and projects

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Educational requirement: Bachelor degree in Finance preferred
  • Experience working with data – data entry, checks and extracts
  • Proficient with manipulating and analysing data via Excel (e.g. vlookup, concatenation, if-else)
  • Comfortable working with automation and workflow tools
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and written skills
  • Ability to articulate messages in a clear and concise manner to others within the organisation
  • The ability to promote a positive and professional image and being helpful and polite is essential

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • Basic understanding of financial instruments (e.g. equity, bond, derivatives, FX etc.)
  • General understanding of the Asset Management business and operations as a function
  • Experience in client servicing or coordination type roles would be helpful
