Position Summary
We have an exciting internship opportunity in our New York City Global Tax Department. This is a summer internship that will commence in May. We are looking for a commitment of at least 20-30 hours per week. The internship position will be fully on-site in our NYC office and requires a full 1 year commitment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the US tax return preparation of Sony's foreign subsidiaries as required for filing with the IRS.
- Assist with information gathering and work paper organization.
- Perform other tax compliance and administrative duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a college or university.
- Undergraduate accounting majors or graduate students preferred.
- Students entering their sophomore or junior year of college highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and functions.
- Flexible hours, preferably a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation
The target hourly rate for this internship is $19.00 per hour. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime.
