Quilter runs four named early careers routes:

• Two-year rotational programme: Technology, Investment Division or Core Operational Area (Southampton or London), working towards a relevant professional qualification such as the CFA Investment Management Certificate
• One-year programme: investment management with Quilter Cheviot in London, open to candidates with or without a degree
• Eight-week AI graduate internship: Quilter's AI Centre of Excellence (Southampton or London), requires a relevant master's or PhD, and can lead to a two-year fixed-term Graduate Programme contract
• Apprenticeships: ongoing roles in areas such as HR and Operations (Southampton or London), combined with a two-year qualification by self-study

Because the AI internship is an explicit funnel into the two-year programme, and the one-year and two-year tracks both draw from investment-focused early-career applicants, a candidate is often implicitly competing across more than one Quilter route rather than choosing a single one.

Rather than running early-careers hiring as one generic graduate scheme, it routes candidates into named business-specific tracks, including a dedicated investment-management route inside Quilter Cheviot, its discretionary wealth-management business, and a separate AI Centre of Excellence internship that feeds into its core two-year programme.

For an early-career applicant, this means the choice is less about whether to work at Quilter and more about which specific business and qualification track fits, since the skills, location and professional qualification differ by route rather than following one shared graduate template.
