How Pleo interviews
Pleo runs the same five-stage interview set for all engineering candidates, as Pleo's engineering team describes it: a recruiter intro call, a timed coding screen on CodeSignal, a System Design interview, a behavioural Culture Add conversation using the STAR method, and a final behavioural interview with a senior engineering leader.
Candidates for more senior or specialised roles are also routed to an early fit conversation with a potential manager, ahead of the standard technical stages. Every interview is scored against level-specific criteria, and the hiring decision is made in a group calibration session once all interviews are complete. Five structured rounds, six for senior hires who add the manager conversation, is a real time commitment to plan around inside a season of parallel applications, and the CodeSignal stage rewards algorithm practice done well before the interview is scheduled.
