LGT Wealth Management's UK early-careers programmes come in three forms:

• Summer internship – an 8-week placement introducing the wealth-management sector, aimed at second-year university students and running across July and August.
• 12-month industry placement – a year embedded with a single team.
• Graduate programme – an 18-month programme spanning wealth management and IT, with the next intake starting September 2026. It opens with an onboarding week in Liechtenstein and a two-week seminar in Singapore, includes a one-week volunteering "social week", and rotates graduates through internships in other LGT departments.

Internships are sourced through partner organisations rather than a direct LGT application – among them Girls Are Investors (GAIN), the 10,000 Interns Foundation, and uMushroom. That routing is the practical catch: an internship applicant has to work to the partners' own deadlines and processes rather than a single LGT careers portal, while the 18-month graduate programme is a longer structured commitment entered after finishing university – so the two sit at different stages and on different timelines.

The group manages more than CHF 380 billion in assets across over 20 offices worldwide, and that international, family-owned structure shows up directly in the early-careers offer: the graduate programme begins with onboarding at the group's Liechtenstein base and a two-week posting to Singapore. For an applicant weighing UK wealth managers, that points to a long-term, owner-led employer with built-in international exposure from the start – a different proposition from a domestically focused or publicly listed competitor, and worth weighing on those terms rather than name alone.
