What Role Will You Play?

The role is dedicated to Macquarie Capital Principal Finance – Private Credit. Investment opportunities cover a range of private credit structures, including primarily unitranche financings, as well as second lien debt, HoldCo PIK loans, mezzanine debt, or preferred equity. Team members function as generalists, investing across diverse industries, structures, and deal types.

Your primary responsibilities will be identifying, analyzing, executing, and managing attractive risk/return investment opportunities. Key day-to-day contributions include:

• Leading diligence conversations and efforts with internal teams, counterparties, and external experts.
• Presenting findings and insights in meetings, including investment committee discussions.
• Gathering data from differentiated sources to substantiate investment theses with an evidence-based approach.
• Preparing critical analysis, including robust financial models, quality of earnings analysis, and KPI analysis.
• Distilling complex information into succinct investment committee memos and external presentations.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. Further details on our benefits are listed below.

What You Offer (Qualifications)

Candidates should offer the following:

• 1-3 years of experience in full-service M&A, capital markets, and/or investing.
• Strong analytical and technical aptitude, with extensive exposure to business analysis/research and financial modelling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A proactive self-starter capable of working effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
