The eight-week Summer Internship Programme is designed to give you hands-on experience, meaningful responsibility, and a true insight into life at Baringa. Over the course of the programme, you’ll work alongside experienced consultants and specialists on real projects, develop valuable skills through tailored learning opportunities, and build connections across the business. Whether you’re exploring career options or looking to kick-start your professional journey, the internship offers a supportive environment where you can learn, grow, and make an impact.

Enterprise Value Creation

Organisation, People & Change
Organisation, People, and Change (OPC) helps organisations achieve lasting success by putting people at the centre of transformation. OPC ensures organisations are equipped to deliver impact that lasts through an engaged and high-performing workforce.
As part of OPC, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of sectors, helping clients with solutions including:
- Optimising operations and organisational design: align business capabilities, processes, and technology with strategic ambition to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Unlocking leadership, culture, and workforce potential: shape future skills, foster an engaged and high-performing workforce, and embed target cultures through people-led experiences.
- Crafting and delivering transformation and change strategies: define the vision, strategic direction, and OKRs to create positive conditions for change, enabling organisations to deliver lasting impact.
Desirable degrees: Business management/Management & Organisational Behaviour, Psychology/Organisational psychology, Engineering, Data analytics/Business Analytics.

Supply Chain & Procurement
The Supply Chain & Procurement (SCP) team helps organisations tackle complex challenges across their supply chains, procurement functions, and commercial operations. Working with clients across the public and private sectors, the team helps organisations respond to cost pressures, supply chain disruption, changing customer expectations, and rapid technological change.
As part of SCP, you’ll work on a diverse range of projects spanning supply chain strategy, procurement transformation, commercial advisory, logistics, and technology-enabled change within either the Supply Chain or Procurement & Commercial practice. The teams combine analytical thinking, practical problem-solving, and deep industry expertise to help clients create efficient, resilient, and sustainable organisations that deliver lasting value.
Desirable degrees: STEM & non-STEM.
Desirable skills: Problem solving, data analysis, digital and AI literacy, team collaboration, personal communication, adaptability, commercial and financial curiosity.
Data & AI
Expertly applied, data and AI empower you to operate smarter, innovate faster, and compete harder. Blending exceptional technical skills with deep industry knowledge, Baringa’s consultants craft practical data and AI solutions and integrate them into existing production workflows. Where data and AI requires new scalable technology, the team helps establish the case for investment. When new data insights are revealed, the team ensures the right talent is in place to unlock full value—whether that’s establishing robust data infrastructure, fostering a data-driven culture, or maintaining data and information security and compliance.
Desirable degrees: STEM, Computer Science, Data Science, other technical data/AI degrees.
Desirable skills: Problem solving, data analysis, data literacy, and technical data skills including BI, Python, engineering, and ML.
Digital & Technology
Technology decisions now determine whether organisations grow or stall, and clients are under pressure to move faster than ever. Baringa’s Digital & Technology team helps clients across five areas:
- Digital Value Creation: turning technology, AI, and platforms into real financial outcomes.
- Critical Technology Programme Recovery: stabilising major programmes when the stakes are highest.
- Platform Enabled Transformation: guiding major bets organisations place on ERP, CRM, cloud, and AI.
- Scaling AI: moving capability out of pilots and into enterprise-wide advantage.
- Digital Resilience / Cybersecurity: protecting the value transformation creates.
The work spans advisory, delivery leadership, and digital risk and cyber. From day one, you’ll contribute directly to client deliverables using approved digital and AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of your work, while applying the human review and judgement that responsible AI requires. You’ll build relationships with clients and colleagues, keep your team informed so there are no surprises, and develop a clear understanding of how your work helps clients achieve their objectives.
Desirable degrees: Business/Management, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science & AI, Information Systems, Engineering. Also welcome candidates from design, social science, law and humanities backgrounds who can demonstrate genuine technology interest and strong analytical capability.
Desirable skills: Genuine curiosity about AI, structured problem solving, attention to detail, data analysis and data-driven diagnostics, clear written and verbal communication, commercial and financial curiosity, awareness of technology risk, security and resilience, collaboration and an inclusive mindset, and composure and adaptability.
Solutions & AI Labs (SAIL)
Solutions & AI Labs (SAIL) focuses on helping clients control their data, turn it into actionable insights, and better leverage it through machine learning solutions embedded into business processes. The practice supports clients across a number of industries and offers deep expertise in AI, ML, Cloud, and Managed Solutions. Baringa is seeking passionate and dynamic ML engineers who are excited by building production machine learning solutions.
Desirable degrees: A degree in a STEM related field is required; Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering are preferred.
Desirable skills: Passion for AI, machine learning, and solving real-world problems; analytical and problem-solving skills; collaborative approach; clear communication; curiosity; adaptability; and eagerness to learn new technologies.
Requirements
- Applicants should be in their penultimate year of their bachelor’s or master’s degree studies.
- Applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK now and in the future. All applicants will be asked for proof if invited to an assessment centre. Baringa is unable to sponsor individuals for this opportunity.
