Overview

Adams Street seeks to recruit an Associate to join the Investor Relations team in London. Working within a team of other Investor Relations Associates, the individual will collaborate with functional teams across Adams Street to support EMEA Investor Relations activities, specifically in the DACH region.

This role supports prospective and existing clients by creating and coordinating effective communications and data. Given the collaborative culture, the position requires exceptional organizational and client servicing skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate ad-hoc and recurring reporting requests for EMEA investors in a timely manner.
  • Support the review of and analyze investor portfolios using in-house quantitative tools, including cash flow and NAV planning.
  • Collaborate with firmwide teams in the creation of client communications.
  • Serve as the point person for the Investor Portal (access, data entry) and participate in maintenance (updating client records).
  • Support the team with marketing efforts, including RFPs, due diligence materials, and presentations.
  • Support market and prospect research across the EMEA region to identify new business opportunities.
  • Manage the tracking database used to identify prospective clients and monitor the status of investment discussions.
  • Collaborate with teams across the firm on special projects related to existing client portfolios and/or firmwide strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and organize internal processes and procedures to ensure consistency, integrity, timeliness, and quality of communications to investors.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and monitor industry events and trends.

Requirements

We seek an individual who is self-disciplined and detail-oriented, confident with quantitative tasks, and supported by the following characteristics:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a professional services firm, preferably with an investment/wealth management firm, consulting firm, accountancy, or investment bank, in a research, data management, or client service related role, with demonstrated capability supporting research and analytics.
  • Knowledge of private markets and the institutional client and consultant community (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English and German (preferred). Preference for additional European language(s).
  • Strong project management skills, ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Strong business writing skills and ability to clearly and accurately communicate business and financial services product information.
  • Strong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail; highly organized; able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency with proprietary databases and software systems, including CRM database systems, ideally Salesforce.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite products (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to operate independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Willing and able to travel as part of the role, including domestic and international travel, sometimes at short notice, to attend client meetings, conferences, and internal events as required by the business.
  • University graduate, ideally with a business focus.
