NDT Technician

Job Description & Requirements

The NDT Technician will perform calibrations, non-destructive testing (NDT), and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to approved procedures, maintaining accurate records, and working with a team of NDT Engineers.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, standardize, and perform system checks for non-destructive testing methods.
• Perform testing codes, standards, and other applicable requirements outlined in contractual documents for the methods used.
• Interpret and evaluate results for acceptance or rejection, and document outcomes.
• Work closely with NDT Engineers and participate in the team.
• Comply with all applicable safety requirements and use PPEs.
• Carry out other assigned duties as directed by the NDT Level 3.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• NAS410/EN4179 NDT Level 2 certification is an advantage.
• Relevant NDT experience in RT/PT/ET/MT/UT/IRT methods is an advantage.
• Minimum qualification: Higher NITEC / Diploma in Engineering.
• Ability to pass a vision acuity examination with or without corrective lenses, and meet vision requirements for color-blindness.
• Ability to work at all four work-sites: Changi North, Paya Lebar, Seletar, and Changi Creek.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including ad-hoc night shifts.
• Willingness to do overtime when required or requested.
• No claustrophobia or height phobia.
