What role you will play in our team

We are now recruiting for our 2027 Industrial Placement Programme. We are looking for people who can think analytically, enjoy innovating, and want to apply their skills to solve real challenges in a trading environment.

During your placement, you will receive support and guidance from managers, supervisors, and recent graduates to apply your degree knowledge, build confidence, and learn new skills in a real trading environment.

What you will do

• Work directly with front-line traders on an energy desk, or in the Trading Analytics team, performing market analysis for a commodity using proprietary and third-party data to support trading decisions.
• Support trading teams in areas such as risk management or crude oil optimisation.
• Take real responsibility from day one and develop a foundation of professional skills in a supportive, exciting learning environment.
• Complete a comprehensive induction during your first month to build foundational trading skills and experience in a large-scale global trading organisation.
• Seek out and take on special projects as your placement progresses to advance the business and your personal development.

About you

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Be in the penultimate year of your degree course.
• Be expecting a minimum of a 2:1 in any subject.
• Be seeking to gain work experience on a 13-month paid industrial placement commencing in July 2027.

You should be able to demonstrate:

• A strong attention to detail
• Analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• An interest in physical commodities and financial markets
• The ability to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively with an international team environment
• Leadership capabilities

Successful candidates will be made a conditional offer of employment.
