Second Shift (Afternoons)

Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM (10% shift differential)

Environmental Conditions

  • Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair, etc.
  • Loud noises (equipment/machinery)
  • Some degree of PPE required (e.g., safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs)

Job Description

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, responsible for inspection, assembly, and packing of products.

A Day in the Life:

  • Become familiar with product lines and all related visual defects to identify rejected parts.
  • Visually inspect bottles retrieved from machines, conveyor lines, or bulk containers, and make quality decisions on each part.
  • Recognize out-of-spec production and advise the supervisor or set-up personnel.
  • Perform 15-minute inspections of high-volume production.
  • Set up the work area as a controlled environment where attire includes hats, gloves, beard masks, and coats (where applicable).
  • Perform housekeeping responsibilities necessary to maintain a clean environment required for production of media bottles throughout the shift.
  • Maintain necessary paperwork levels throughout the shift (e.g., 15-minute inspection form, MQC sheet) related to bottle production.
  • Work to established QC samples.
  • Alert the Supervisor/Team Lead or set-up personnel when problems first begin.
  • Adhere to all company and departmental work and safety rules.
  • Able to operate any machine or operation in the department as assigned.

Compensation

$20.50/HR

Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or a GED.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or related field (preferred).
  • 0–1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to perform simple math (e.g., add and subtract whole numbers).
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination; ability to lift and load pallets weighing up to 35 pounds.

Professional Characteristics

  • Ability to work in a high-speed, repetitive production environment.
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits Details

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $15.26–$22.88.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. A comprehensive Total Rewards package may include:
