Job Description

Role Overview

Brookfield Real Estate Group is seeking an Analyst to join its European Living and Hospitality Real Estate team in London, working alongside seasoned investment professionals to manage existing investments. The Analyst will work directly with a wide range of real estate portfolio companies controlled by Brookfield across the living and hospitality sectors, together with other European investments held within Brookfield’s opportunistic private equity funds.

The Analyst will assist with strategic decision-making, investment activities, and reporting activities of real estate companies owned by the BSREP series of opportunity funds. Brookfield takes an active oversight approach with its portfolio companies, specifically regarding major investment, divestment, financing, and operational decisions. The position provides an opportunity to work on high-profile transactions and portfolio companies throughout Europe, interact with and support the global investment team network, and work alongside senior leadership at Brookfield and senior management at portfolio companies across living and hospitality.

This is an opportunity for a proven outstanding performer to join a dynamic and growing Living and Hospitality team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Brookfield colleagues and portfolio company management teams to manage assets/portfolios across the investment life cycle.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models, including cash flow forecasts and valuations.
  • Assess how strategic and operational decisions affect returns at both the asset and portfolio level.
  • Prepare internal and external investor materials, including quarterly investor reporting packs and investor presentations.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of all internal fund reporting.
  • Support investment management colleagues on transactions, including bolt-on acquisitions, financings and refinancings, and dispositions, as well as forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Attend monthly portfolio company performance and quarterly portfolio company board meetings and prepare supporting materials as required.
  • Draft investment committee memorandums and present investment recommendations.
  • Conduct market research and maintain industry data across both the living and hospitality sectors on a regular basis.

Candidate Profile

  • 1–2 years of experience in real estate investing, private equity, investment banking or M&A, or in a central function at a real estate platform in a related sector.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modelling, and valuation skills, ideally with a real estate and/or corporate focus.
  • Existing knowledge of hospitality and/or living (residential, PBSA) real estate operations and capital markets in Europe.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; knowledge of another European language is an advantage (preferably French, German, Spanish, Greek, or Italian).
  • Project planning and self-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
  • Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Equal Opportunity & Positive Work Environment
