Work Model
Lincoln International follows a hybrid work structure with an emphasis on in-office collaboration. Employees work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays.
Role: Analyst Intern (Valuations & Opinions Group)
Lincoln International is seeking Analyst Interns to join its rapidly growing Valuations & Opinions Group (VOG). Successful candidates have strong cognitive and interpersonal abilities, want to develop their professional and personal skills, and are excited to gain exposure to a broad range of asset classes and industries. The role offers many opportunities to contribute to a dynamic and growing platform.
This position is in a demanding, yet supportive, team-oriented environment and provides experiences to build analytical skills and overall finance & accounting acumen, including but not limited to the responsibilities below.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Portfolio Valuation, Asset-backed Finance, or Transaction Opinion & Board Advisory team.
- Construct and practice valuation, other financial analyses, and case studies, including guideline public company and guideline precedent transaction analyses and discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses, using Lincoln International proprietary models.
- Identify relevant comparable public companies and M&A transactions using information services such as S&P Capital IQ and Bloomberg, along with knowledge of the appropriate Standard Industrial Classification and other methods as appropriate.
- Research and provide information on:
- General economic conditions
- Industry-specific conditions and trends
- Acquisitions and divestitures within specific industries
- Investment attributes of publicly traded and privately held securities
- Participate in and shadow due diligence meetings, assist with client communications, and support responses to auditor questions regarding valuation analyses prepared by Lincoln International.
- Assist in the preparation of fee proposals to clients, including pitch materials and written valuation reports.
- Maintain proprietary valuation databases.
- Coordinate recurring valuation projects with team members across multiple geographies.
- Support senior members of the Valuations & Opinions Group.
- Perform other ad-hoc research, analytics, and support for the VOG team as required.
Qualifications
The Analyst Intern position is extremely challenging and provides an excellent learning experience and foundation for a future business career. Candidates should meet the requirements below.
- Assertive and self-motivated; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment; exceptionally detail-oriented.
- Excellent analytical foundation with strong understanding of financial statements and various valuation methodologies (e.g., DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis).
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, including the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations.
- Strong writing, verbal communication, and computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Working toward a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with significant completed coursework in these areas.
- Must be eligible to begin working full-time starting Summer 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5.

- Internship location: in-person in Dallas, New York, or Atlanta offices.
- Salary range: $95,000 annually. This range reflects what Lincoln International in good faith believes it would pay at the time of posting; final compensation may vary based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, and business needs. The posted range applies only for jobs to be performed in New York, California, and Illinois.
