Capital Markets Summer Analyst (Asia)

The Capital Markets Summer Analyst is an intermediate-level role responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets and providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions in coordination with the Banking team. The analyst also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective is to act as a strategic advisor by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.

About the Team

Citi’s Banking Group is seeking Summer Analysts to join the Capital Markets team in Asia. The group works with corporate and government clients to develop, structure, and implement financing packages to meet capital needs.

The division includes multiple groups that deliver traditional investment banking experiences, including managing client relationships and developing strategic and tactical financing plans, alongside a strong focus on market dynamics similar to Sales & Trading.

Summer Analyst Program

Summer Analysts join an intensive training program with in-depth education on core topics related to the Analyst role, along with immersion in Citi’s culture. The 10-week program begins in June, starting with a week and a half of training followed by eight and a half weeks on a specific desk.

Summer Analysts will have opportunities to network with peers across Citi, including team-building activities associated with a local charity. Top-performing Summer Analysts may be hired into the following year’s Capital Markets Analyst Program.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to overall fixed income and equity relationships.
• Work and interact with corporate clients.
• Originate, market, structure, and execute fixed income and equity transactions.
• Identify approaches to limit interest rate and credit risk through derivatives.

Qualifications

• In your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline from a top academic institution (graduating between December 2027 and June 2028).
