Job Description

Keppel is a leading global asset manager and operator with strong capabilities in energy & environment, urban development, and connectivity, creating solutions for a sustainable future.

The intern will be responsible for:

• Assisting in operationalizing the Data Governance Policy and Standards.
• Promoting a “Data as an Asset” culture and working in partnership with business and IT teams to:
  • Identify data that is important for Keppel (CDE/KDE).
  • Implement the Data Quality framework.
• Supporting the preparation and publishing of training materials and documentation for data governance topics (e.g., Classification, Data Dictionary, Glossary, Lineage, Data Quality).
• Gathering, evaluating, and unifying requirements from key stakeholders (internal to D&D or Keppel-wide) to develop solutions, define performance indicators, and establish quality metrics.
• Assisting in implementing automation initiatives for existing processes, such as chatbots and e-checklists.

Learning Outcomes

• Hands-on experience with enterprise documentation, including IT/Data Policy management (creating, implementing, and maintaining policies within the organization).
• Providing insights and recommendations on data management to operations teams.
• Partnering with business and IT teams to identify opportunities to source and utilize data that can drive growth and productivity.
• Experience working on real-time projects in a challenging environment for a multinational company.
• Working and building relationships in a multicultural team.

Job Requirements

• Undergraduate or Master’s student pursuing a degree in a course of study as listed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of international security standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and OWASP (advantageous).
• Knowledge of MS productivity tools, GenAI tools, SQL, or Python.
• Problem-solving aptitude, strategic and critical thinking mindset, with the ability to articulate concepts, strategies, and challenges to business and technology teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Understanding of data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake).
