Job Description

The intern will be responsible for:

  • Development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards by integrating data from platforms such as Procore, SharePoint, and Excel, ensuring data consistency and reliability
  • Data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and modelling using Power BI (Power Query and DAX)
  • Design and development of executive-ready dashboards and visualisations with a strong emphasis on clarity, usability, and UI/UX principles
  • Support development of Power Apps solutions, including UI/UX design and workflow functionality for programme management use cases
  • Support implementation of Power Automate workflows, integrating systems such as SharePoint and Power BI to streamline and automate processes
  • Support development and maintenance of data infrastructure, including structuring datasets, managing data flows, and ensuring alignment with single source of truth (SSOT) principles
  • Apply data analytics techniques to support reporting, insights generation, and financial analysis or projections
  • Create user stories, story points, and test cases, and assist in conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including UI/UX research and validation of solutions
  • Conduct research on digitisation initiatives and automation opportunities, and support preparation of proposals for process improvement
  • Participate in discussions with internal stakeholders, developers, and vendors on system requirements and enhancements
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably requested by the immediate supervisor or Head of Department

Job Requirements

  • University undergraduate in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with demonstrated interest in data and digital solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (Power Query and DAX)
  • Strong understanding of data visualisation and UI/UX principles, with the ability to design clear and effective dashboards
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Basic understanding of data infrastructure and data management concepts
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas, data, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to translate data outputs into clear and actionable insights
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online and enterprise platforms (e.g. Procore) is an advantage
  • Familiarity with construction/project financial metrics, programme management concepts, and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum), including exposure to user stories, UAT processes, and UI/UX research, is an advantage
  • Exposure to Python, API/data connectivity concepts, or front-end development (e.g. React, TailwindCSS) is an advantage
  • Exposure to NLP, LLM, or AI-related concepts is an added advantage
