Verve For Advertisers is a technology company that empowers brands and agencies to connect moments of discovery and drive measurable outcomes across screens.
As part of Verve, we’ve unified the company’s demand-side offering by bringing together the largest on-site search intent dataset outside of walled gardens, direct SDK integrations with top apps, and data partnerships with 3M+ websites and LLMs. Our technology captures both what consumers do and why they do it, delivering high-fidelity audiences, insights, and activation across premium omnichannel inventory.
Visual Designer
We’re looking for a versatile, detail-obsessed Visual Designer to join our in-house team. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, you’ll help execute and scale Verve’s visual identity across all marketing touchpoints. You’ll translate creative concepts into polished, production-ready deliverables that drive engagement and protect brand consistency across digital channels and traditional print.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the rollout of a new visual identity in partnership with the Creative Director, ensuring a seamless transition across internal and external touchpoints.
- Own the end-to-end design and production of print materials for key conferences and marketing events, including flyers, informational leaflets, booklets, event menus, and physical signage.
- Manage technical print processes by coordinating with external vendors and fabricators to ensure accurate color matching and finish quality.
- Produce dynamic digital assets for marketing campaigns, including event landing page designs, social media graphics (such as attendee-shareable LinkedIn posts), email banners, and digital invitations for exclusive event dinners.
- Systematize and expand a centralized brand library to streamline asset discovery and cross-functional design alignment across both Adobe and Figma environments.
What You’ll Be Good At (Indicators)
- Technical precision: ensuring bleed, trim marks, and margins are mathematically sound and print-ready.
- Comfort bridging physical and digital workflows, from multi-page print booklet setup in InDesign to responsive landing page layouts in Figma.
- Ability to translate complex technical workflows and spatial requirements into clear, elegant designs and intuitive physical environments.
- Workflow improvement mindset: create templates, streamline production, and optimize how design and marketing teams collaborate so output scales.
- Strong organization: balance multiple deliverables at once, from press release layouts to animated email banner creation.
- Project ownership: brainstorm ideas, present concepts to stakeholders, and lead tactical discussions needed to launch large-scale marketing projects.
- Motion design capability: use basic animation to enhance promotional banners, event screen graphics, social video posts, email GIFs, and dynamic digital ads.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in an in-house role, working alongside Marketing teams.
- A versatile portfolio demonstrating strong layout, typography, and hierarchy skills across both digital marketing assets and technical print pieces.
- Proven project ownership, with the ability to take a marketing brief from initial concept to final, polished delivery.
Design Skills
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign (layout), Illustrator (large format), and Photoshop (high-end retouching).
- Advanced knowledge of print production, including pre-flighting, color separation, and vendor handoff protocols.
- High proficiency in Figma for asset management and collaborative digital production.
- Experience creating dynamic motion assets and basic video editing (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Jitter, Figma animation features, or similar).
Bonus Points
- Advanced video creation and editing skills.
- Experiential design experience and knowledge of 3D mockup tools (Adobe Dimension, SketchUp, or similar).
- Experience with AI and generative tools as a lever for efficiency in a modern production workflow.
Benefits
- Health, dental, and vision insurance, plus mental health resources
- 401(k) match and generous PTO
- Hybrid work environment (NYC office)
- Free lunch for onsite team members in NYC
- Volunteer opportunities
- Opportunities for professional development in a high-growth ad tech company
Work Location / Schedule
