About the Role
We build predictive models from big data and develop algorithms to automatically execute trades across dozens of financial exchanges around the world.
As an M1/M2 research intern, you will contribute in a blend of three roles—quant researcher/data scientist, trader, and software developer—based on your incoming skills and background, as well as your interests and curiosity.
Internship Program
1) Intensive Research Project
You will begin with an intensive research project, working closely with a mentor from one of our trading teams. Possible research topics vary and can be tailored to specific interests or academic requirements.
2) Hands-On Training Program
You will then enter a hands-on training program focused on building knowledge of trading, programming, and quantitative analysis. Training includes in-house courses and trading simulations developed and delivered by experienced researchers, traders, and developers. Topics include:
- Machine Learning
- Trading and market mechanics
- C++
- Statistics
- Our research process for signal generation
3) Rotations Across Trading Teams
Finally, you will rotate through several trading teams. During each rotation, you will work on a project with the team while being mentored by experienced quant researchers, traders, and developers.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Who Should Apply?
This program is designed for students from French schools that require completion of the M1/M2 research internship (e.g., École Polytechnique).
Qualifications and Skills
- A strong drive to learn and improve
- An entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong skills in programming and/or quantitative analysis (e.g., statistics, data mining, mathematics, machine learning)
Finance Knowledge
No prior knowledge of finance or trading is necessary. We provide the training you need.
Reliable and predictable availability is required.
Academic Background
While we strongly value training in Computer Science and Mathematics, we are also excited to meet people with exceptional achievements in any technical discipline.
