The Team

Our Restructuring and Insolvency practice offers critical assistance to companies that are under-performing or experiencing a liquidity crisis. Working directly with company management, A&M helps stabilise financial and operational performance by developing and implementing profitability and working capital improvements. A&M's involvement reassures creditors that the company is taking important steps to address its problems and maximise value. In addition to the above, members of our Restructuring and Insolvency practice are regularly appointed to administer the judicial management and winding up of companies.

A&M is rapidly expanding in Southeast Asia, and we are seeking to hire an Analyst for our Restructuring Practice. Based in Singapore, you will apply your analytical skills and deep understanding of accounting and finance to a diverse range of complex assignments focusing on all aspects of financial and operational restructuring and turnaround initiatives, both in and out of bankruptcy or distressed situations.

How you will contribute

• Effectively gather, analyze and sort through large data sets that are sometimes unorganized and incomplete.
• Create, analyze and update 13-week cash flow models and other financial models.
• Utilize Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other applications to assist in creating client deliverables.
• Interact with various stakeholders of the client undergoing corporate insolvency and restructuring, including judicial management, receivership, and formal or informal insolvency processes. Assist in the preparation and day-to-day administration of the client affairs, including asset recovery, fulfilling statutory obligations, adjudication of claims, and investigation of past transactions.
• Support business development activities, including the creation of client pitches and proposals to win new mandates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• Candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience in Restructuring and Insolvency, Audit, Corporate Finance, or Banking will be considered.
• Strong financial modelling skills and the ability to analyze financial statements.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
• Strong MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to interact with all levels of client personnel.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Team player who can excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment.
