Investment Banking Analyst – Healthcare, London

Responsibilities

• Develop pitch book presentations that explain industry trends, assess client options and support strategic recommendations
• Contribute ideas and thoughtful analysis to help clients evaluate opportunities and make informed decisions
• Work closely with senior colleagues, product partners and investors to support client coverage and transaction execution
• Create and analyze financial models for a broad range of investment banking transactions, including M&A, IPOs, equity offerings, capital raises and other strategic advisory situations
• Conduct company, sector and market analysis across the healthcare industry
• Identify key issues, evaluate alternatives and support the development of practical solutions
• Prepare high-quality client materials and help coordinate transaction workstreams
• Support interns and new joiners by sharing knowledge and contributing to the team’s collaborative culture

The Team

You’ll be working in the Healthcare Investment Banking team in London. Our team advises healthcare clients across mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets transactions, capital raises, private transactions and broader strategic advisory. You’ll gain exposure across a broad range of healthcare areas, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medtech, healthcare services, diagnostics and healthcare technology. The role is designed to build a strong foundation in healthcare investment banking while developing sector understanding and key themes. Our team combines strong deal flow and an international client base with a collaborative and supportive culture. Analysts are encouraged to contribute early, learn from experienced colleagues and develop in an environment that values teamwork, curiosity and high-quality work.

Your Expertise

• Some hands-on exposure to investment banking, M&A, ECM or related corporate finance work, gained through a relevant internship or full-time experience
• Experience in a healthcare-focused advisory environment is a strong plus, but not required; a genuine interest in the healthcare sector matters
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally in finance, accounting, economics, business, science, engineering or another analytical discipline
• Solid financial analysis, valuation and modelling skills, with exposure to merger analysis and other transaction-related analysis, and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality presentation materials
• Intellectually curious, with an interest in understanding sector trends, company strategy and market developments
• Driven, collaborative and creative, with strong integrity, excellent communication, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
