Personal Banker SAFE Act, Brooklyn Area

Overview

The Personal Banker SAFE Act is an entry level position responsible for assisting in the execution of sales, products, or service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The objective of this role is to foster relationships with customers to build loyalty and help increase sales to individual consumer clients.

Responsibilities

• Work with business loan requests under $250K, recognize and refer larger lending opportunities, and cross-sell treasury and related small business products
• Build referral opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and the Member Get Member (MGM) Program
• Assist in strategies to grow the small business client and implement appropriate sales plans to target Book of Business customers
• Deliver client services, outbound calls, and inbound calls to acquire new relationships and deepen existing relationships through cross-selling relevant products and services while delivering an exceptional client experience
• Provide coaching and guidance to Tellers and other branch staff on products and special programs, identify client needs, and provide appropriate referrals
• Identify transaction needs of clients, educate on all service and digital channels, leverage technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities, and present product offers/financial solutions
• Understand and comply with Citibank policies, standards, and procedures
• Assess risk in business decisions, safeguard the firm's reputation and assets, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies
• NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education

• Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
