Automation tool operational excellence

Project description

Micron Manufacturing is deployed with an Automated Material Handling System (AMHS), which reduces human touch points and improves traceability with safety and quality in mind.

Interns will have opportunities to participate in daily and weekly engineering sessions with the engineering team and other departments to contribute ideas and resolve operational issues. They will learn the AMHS processes and apply problem-solving methodologies, coupled with data analytics, to solve practical issues in manufacturing and bring real impact to state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Project Scope

Learn the functions of AMHS in both Assembly and Test operations. Learn various data analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL).

Deliverables (Expected Learning Outcomes)

• Identify opportunities to streamline operations using data analytics
• Identify improvement opportunities in AMHS

Data analytics-related courses, e.g., Computer Science or Engineering-related courses (Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation).
