About the Role

We’re seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to generate qualified leads and build a robust pipeline for our sales team. You will proactively reach out to ideal prospects, qualify their needs and pain points, and set valuable appointments with Account Executives. This is a results-oriented role where a proactive, creative/strategic approach, excellent communication, and industry knowledge drive success.

Responsibilities

  • Take a data-driven approach to prospecting that builds a pipeline across key customer segments and establishes monday.com’s brand in markets we will enter.
  • Take ownership by identifying and addressing inefficiencies and leveraging tools for fast, effective prospecting.
  • Conduct deep-dive discovery calls to understand prospect needs, challenges, and budget; uncover buying signals and pain points to determine fit with our solutions.
  • Prepare detailed call reports and qualification summaries for Account Executives, including key contact information, company background, and potential deal size.
  • Accurately and consistently update the CRM with prospect data, call notes, and meeting outcomes.
  • Track and analyze activity and performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and share insights with management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor landscape, and company offerings to effectively engage and qualify prospects.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in outbound sales and/or lead generation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and engage prospects in meaningful conversations.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; adept at multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
  • Proficient in CRM software and data analysis tools (preferably Salesforce).
  • Passion for learning and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Competitive spirit and drive to exceed quota and win deals; self-starter and goal-oriented.
  • Comprehensive understanding of monday.com solutions and the ability to connect that knowledge to customer ROI.
  • Ability to develop strategies and coordinate cross-functional support to help customers maximize value from monday.com solutions.
  • Proven ability to identify and overcome sales objections.

  • For New York City-based hires: Compensation range is $75,000 – $85,000 base salary, plus discretionary bonus and/or equity based on company plans and policies; final compensation depends on skills and experience. Location-based ranges may differ outside NYC.
