Overview

We are seeking a Developer with strong communication and customer-facing skills to join our team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with front office users, including traders, risk analysts, and operational staff, in the dynamic field of foreign exchange trading. The ideal candidate will have experience in coding with C# or Java and a keen interest in Financial Services. Key competencies include analytical thinking, the ability to learn quickly, and the capability to apply technical skills to achieve practical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in projects to develop and enhance the feature set of our front-office systems for foreign exchange trading.
• Manage a variety of devops-style project deliveries and BAU deliveries within the Sharp FX ecosystem.
• Progress market connectivity goals, dev-ops style initiatives, and pricing-related goals.

Required & Desired Qualifications

Education

Bachelor Degree / BSc or equivalent. Graduated within the past 18 months with a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent.

Experience

Experience working collaboratively in a team to achieve common goals.

Skills

• Interest in financial markets, particularly front office-style operations.
• Understanding of agile project delivery methods.
• Strong teamwork skills; ability to deliver effectively under pressure.
• Analytical thinking with the ability to apply it to practical outcomes.

Technical Skills

• Exposure to Java and some knowledge of SQL.
• Some knowledge of scripting languages such as Python is desirable.
