Operations Analyst

About the team

The Live Network team sits within the European Operations Planning and Performance team, and is responsible for the performance and planning of the rider network across multiple markets, including the UK & I, France, Italy and Belgium. This encompasses rider planning, logistics, incentives and rider fee pricing. Deliveroo’s on-demand operations are incredibly complex with many moving parts, so you will use data and analytics to unpick these parts and provide strategic solutions to unlock growth and profit.

About the role

As an Operations Analyst within the European Planning & Performance team, you will design and use frameworks to support decisions that positively impact the delivery network. You’ll be directly responsible for improving the reliability, availability and efficiency of the network in all of our global markets.

Please note, this is not a normal 9-5 role and you must be willing to work in a shift pattern schedule which includes evenings and weekends.

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring the performance of our delivery network and pulling levers in real-time to improve reliability.
• Working within a budget, allocating spend to maximise the efficiency of the live network.
• Following the incident protocol for substantial events that have a real-time impact on the delivery network.
• Opportunity to collaborate with different parts of our Operations organization, such as Restaurant Operations, Strategy, and Rider Engagement, supporting data-led project work.
• Driving several projects focused on improving the stability and performance of the live network.

Requirements

• Ideally, candidates will have experience in live operations, operations, data analysis, or a similar role with real-time responsibilities. This role is suitable for candidates at an early stage of their career.
• Calm under pressure and able to perform in a high-pressure environment. Adept at learning new tools and able to interpret data in various forms.
• Highly proficient in Excel and Google Sheets, with strong attention to detail. Experience with Zapier and workflow automation is a strong advantage, alongside SQL proficiency.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to change.
• Strong team player but capable of working autonomously.
• Willing to work in a shift pattern schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
