BNP Paribas’ Global Markets business offers a broad range of products and services in the global interest rates, credit, currency, equities, and commodity markets. Global Markets helps clients raise and invest capital and manage exposure to risk. The client base includes corporations, institutional investors, banks, governments, and supranational organizations. Global Markets operates worldwide with products denominated in many currencies. Global Macro offers a full spectrum of products across FX, Rates, and Commodities in developed and emerging markets, from millisecond electronic trading supported by advanced AI platforms to bespoke risk transfer and macro solutions. The team develops and structures complex volatility products and derivatives to meet client objectives, proactively identifying new opportunities and solutions.
Job Purpose
Purpose: As an intern in the Public Side Global Macro Structuring team, you will support more senior team members on routine tasks related to structuring activities. You will develop technical expertise and gain experience in creating and marketing relevant products through collaboration with experienced colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine, entry-level support through non-complex, transaction-oriented tasks within the Public Side Global Macro Structuring team.
- Participate in the end-to-end marketing process, working with appropriate Global Markets teams, and assist with ad hoc solutions execution.
- Contribute to the development of new products and solutions; learn how to market, price, and execute these products.
- Prepare and distribute periodic press and news articles on topics of interest to the team.
- Apply team knowledge to understand technical concepts relevant to the role and develop personal product understanding.
- Apply technical knowledge and best practices to activities and identify potential process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Continue developing basic skills under the supervision of more senior staff; build strong internal relationships to support work and development.
- Work primarily on tasks requiring limited guidance, with supervision available; may support more complex tasks with guidance.
- Complete tasks accurately and timely, delivering succinct information to team members.
- Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements at all times.
Requirements
Essential
- Technical and broad understanding of Fixed Income and FX markets.
- Python programming experience.
- Willingness to develop specific technical knowledge of products.
- Ability to prioritise workload based on shifting business needs.
- Strong team player with cross-cultural awareness; able to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Good written and oral communication skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with standard software (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel (VBA/Macro level), Word).
Preferred
- Experience with financial information systems and in-house risk/pricing tools.
- University degree or comparable qualification/experience.
