Job Summary
The role is a front office position responsible for developing and executing a product strategy for SC PrismFX in support of strategic business objectives. The role reports to the Global Head of SC PrismFX Product Management, which rolls into the FM Platforms business CIB Market’s franchise. The individual will be part of the product team to execute on the product development and business strategy agenda to sustainably grow revenues from SC PrismFX. The role will entail regular engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including Transaction Banking Product Management and Product Development teams (Central and Country), Technology teams across Markets and Transaction Banking, Cash and FM Operations teams, Transaction Banking and Market’s Marketing teams, as well as engagement with vendors, trading venues and clients in partnership with FM Sales.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Develop SC PrismFX product strategy and the product development roadmap in partnership with FM and TB Product and Management teams to support growth of SC PrismFX revenue.
- Execute on product development and commercialization; ensure product development aligns with the CIB strategy to deliver SC PrismFX offerings across initiation, execution, post-trade reconciliation, and reporting.
- Manage and develop external partnerships that enhance the product offering and client experience.
Business
- Continuously improve SC PrismFX product offering by building a competitive suite of solutions for SCB’s key client segments and create a distinct brand/identity in agreement with FM, TB, and Brand & Marketing.
- Create new ways of collaboration between TB and FM by leveraging FM expertise in liquidity and collateral management and TB payment flows.
- Partner with TB and FM Country Product teams, Ops and Technology teams to ensure consistency of SC PrismFX offering across the CIB franchise, focusing on growth in key origination and network markets.
- Monitor market and business environment as well as the competitive landscape in which clients and the Bank operate.
- Collaborate with SC PrismFX Sales as well as TB Sales and relationship managers to commercialize the SC PrismFX product, secure client usage, and establish a feedback channel for improvements.
Processes
- Continue to improve the existing product, system, and process setup and benchmark to create an execution plan to reach a market-leading position.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across 1st and 2nd lines to enhance policies and procedures for sustainable SC PrismFX growth.
People and Talent
- Lead the team through example and cultivate the appropriate culture and values with clients and internal stakeholders. Oversee ongoing training and development, ensuring holders of all critical functions are skilled and qualified with effective supervision to mitigate risks. Strategically groom talent by moving talent globally and attract/retain high-quality talent with succession planning for critical roles.
- Lead through example and set the tone and expectations among colleagues, collaborating with risk and control partners.
- Provide effective leadership to direct reports, ensuring high engagement and performance.
- Communicate vision, priorities, and progress to the business to foster engagement, awareness, and motivation.
- Ensure ongoing training and development and that all critical function holders are suitably skilled and supervised to mitigate risks.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and sharing best practices.
- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports, providing feedback and rewards based on performance.
- Lead and reinforce strategic change; align organizational structure and people programs to support change.
- Employ, engage, and retain high-quality people with succession planning for critical roles; identify, evaluate, and address underperformers.
- Review team structure and capacity plans.
- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards aligned with performance.
Risk Management
- Promote a culture across SC PrismFX that adheres to Group Policies and relevant legislation covering credit, operational, and reputational risk, among others.
- Manage the business in a risk-compliant and controlled manner; continuously review existing frameworks to ensure compliance and the firm’s risk appetite.
- Commit to the Group Code of Conduct and act as a role model for conduct.
- Ensure timely completion of mandatory e-learning, attestations, compliance requirements, and information requests.
Governance
- Assess the effectiveness of the Group’s governance, oversight, and controls and, if necessary, oversee changes for Global Execution Services.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
- Speak up in the event of any realized or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues.
- Work cooperatively with local regulators as needed.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Lead the Global Execution Services team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
- Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters effectively and collaboratively.
