The Personalization team makes deciding what to play next on Spotify easier and more enjoyable for every listener. We aim to understand the world of music, podcasts, and audiobooks better than anyone else to deliver great recommendations to every individual user. Our products reach hundreds of millions of people worldwide, including destinations like Home and Search, and original playlists such as Discover Weekly and Daily Mix.

Role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Minesweeper squad. The team builds Human Understandable Language Knowledge to enrich music and talk content understanding, using AI and ML techniques (including Large Language Models) to understand music, podcasts, and audiobooks. You will help develop reliable, scalable systems to distribute this knowledge to Spotify internal teams, users, and creators, shaping the future of music, podcast, and audiobook listening experiences for millions of listeners.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain scalable ML systems to enrich content understanding and recommendations.
• Apply AI and ML techniques, including Large Language Models, to music, podcasts, and audiobooks.
• Build reliable, scalable systems to distribute knowledge to internal teams, users, and creators.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Data Engineers, Backend Engineers, and researchers.
• Contribute to the development and shaping of Spotify content enrichment and recommendations.
