Job Responsibilities

As an Industrial Design Intern at Razer, you will work with the design team on gaming peripherals and hardware. You will gain experience in product design, 3D modeling, and documentation for production. Responsibilities include assisting in the development of concepts, creating 3D models, producing low-fidelity prototypes, and conducting research. Ideal candidates are pursuing a design degree or diploma in Industrial Design or Product Design, proficient in 3D modeling and the Adobe Creative Suite, and passionate about gaming and technology.

As an Industrial Designer Intern at Razer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our design team and contribute to the creation of cutting-edge gaming peripherals and hardware. You’ll gain hands-on experience in product design, 3D modeling, and visualization software. This internship is designed to provide valuable skills and insights into industrial design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers to develop concepts and sketches for new products.
• Create detailed 3D models using software such as Rhino or Alias.
• Assist in the development of prototypes and mock-ups.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct research on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Support the design team in various tasks related to product development.

Learning Objectives

• Gain proficiency in Rhino, KeyShot, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Understand the product development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Learn ergonomic design principles and user-centered design.
• Enhance communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team.

Candidate Requirements

• Pursuing a Degree/Diploma in Industrial Design or Product Design.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Rhino preferred).
• Familiarity with rendering software (KeyShot).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for gaming and technology.
• Based in Singapore.
