Job Summary

Applies acquired job skills to work on tasks that are semi-routine in nature. Focus is on semi-routine tasks within standard operating procedures. Supports the overall team.

Responsibilities

Documentation & System Updates

• Coordinates speedy and efficient delivery of goods to the required destination and obtains sign-off for receipt
• Informs recipients that goods ordered have been delivered

Shipping & Receiving

• Maintains records of materials received and shipped, within a semi-routine scope
• Receives goods delivered to the IBX either directly or following acceptance by security
• Enters all relevant details of inbound/outbound shipments and ensures order requirements are fulfilled
• Uses shipment spotlight and shipment dashboard for customers inbound/outbound shipments
• Inspects received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items where necessary

Problem Solving

• Proactively works and communicates with internal/external customers to ensure on-time deliveries
• May assist with resolving difficult shipping and receiving issues

Hazardous Materials

• Follows established procedures on hazardous materials, requires supervision on new assignments
• Follows and complies with hazardous materials within semi-routine protocols, as described by regional regulatory bodies

Equipment

• Tracks stored and/or abandoned equipment
• Uses the aging shipment business processes/tools for shipments over 5 days, 14 days, 30 days and 90 days

Data Center Support

• Assists with delivering and removal of customer equipment from cages through the use of established procedures
• When requested by a Smart Hand (SH) request, assists with packing customers equipment with packing material so that it can be shipped from the Data Center

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of equivalent work experience
• Regional hazardous materials certification preferred
