Role Overview

Structure, syndicate and execute bond transactions in Asia, with a focus on SGD- and USD-denominated bonds. DCM transactions include Corporate Bonds (Investment Grade and High Yield), FIG bonds (Senior Unsecured, Covered Bonds, Bank Capital), Liability Management Exercises (Tender Offer, Exchange Offer, Consent Solicitation, Open Market Repurchase), Public Benchmark Issuances, and Private Placements.

Responsibilities

Deal Origination

• Provide indicative and firm pricing, debt market updates, and investor feedback to aid in pitching and structuring.
• Prepare high-quality pitch books and materials for client meetings and follow-ups.
• Prepare regular market and pricing updates for clients.

Deal Execution

• Support overall deal execution, including market updates, book-building, demand canvassing, pricing and allocation of deals, roadshows/marketing/planning, settlement, and preparation of case studies.
• Assess and underwrite selective bond transactions.
• Assist in portfolio management and be accountable for profit and loss of exposures; ensure accurate capture and rectification of bond trades in accordance with approved limits, internal policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor bond exposures and ensure hedges (where required) are appropriate within the overall trading strategy.
• Coordinate deal execution among internal and external stakeholders, including internal approvals (conflict clearance, debt underwriting approval memos) and managing deal documentation and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related discipline with strong academic performance.
• 1–3 years of work experience with exposure to debt capital market transactions is an advantage.
• High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Analytical background with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to adjust work hours as per deal requirements and perform effectively under pressure.
• A team player who is highly motivated and achievement-oriented.
