Role
The End-to-end Onboarding and Regulatory Management team is part of the Client Lifecycle Management group within the Corporate and Investment Banking Division of MUFG Bank. This function acts as a centralized 1st line support team, providing support to MUFG Securities (London and Amsterdam) and MUFG Bank London Branch.
Main purpose of the role: Support the Securities Client Onboarding and Regulatory Management Lead with delivering an efficient client onboarding process, ensuring all applicable financial regulation obligations are fulfilled. This role involves significant interaction with customers and internal stakeholders, making customer experience paramount. You will be a key point of contact for several desks regarding end-to-end onboarding for new clients and new product setups, as well as management of regulatory onboarding as required. Timely delivery and accurate management information are essential to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory onboarding: support the onboarding resource with management of the regulatory onboarding process; share regulatory documentation with clients and capture regulatory data points.
- Front Office point of contact for Onboarding: serve as the dedicated point of contact for multiple desks across the Securities business regarding their onboarding pipeline; manage prioritization of onboarding between Front Office and onboarding teams.
- Issues management: identify key dependencies and delays, support remediation, and ensure stakeholder engagement through to resolution.
- Drive process improvements: proactively identify opportunities to shorten onboarding time and enhance the end-to-end customer experience.
- Coordinate onboarding for Securities & Global Markets: act as the end-to-end onboarding coordinator, liaising with KYC, Legal, Credit, Regulatory, and Operational teams.
- Client interaction: directly engage with clients regarding regulatory and onboarding requirements, ensuring alignment with other onboarding areas to improve the client experience.
- Management Information (MI): maintain and publish meaningful MI related to end-to-end onboarding activities.
- Policy and process improvements: actively seek opportunities to strengthen controls and improve efficiency across the onboarding process.
Work Experience
Essential:
- Experience in a similar or related Operations role (e.g., KYC/AML) or in relationship management/sales with a proven delivery track record.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a top-tier financial institution (preferred but not essential).
- Good understanding of Securities / Global Markets products.
Skills & Experience
Functional / Technical Competencies:
Preferred
- Experience in a client- and business-facing role within a complex organization, with a record of successful outcomes.
- Knowledge of investment banking products, especially Sales & Trading and Capital Markets.
- Knowledge of Markets Regulations (MiFID II, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, CFTC, SBSD, Volcker, FATCA/CRS).

- Ability to manage milestones and meet multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and drive positive outcomes.
- Ability to conduct face-to-face discussions with Front Office, Clients, Compliance, and other stakeholders as needed.

- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills – Excel (data manipulation, lookups, pivot tables) and PowerPoint (clear, concise, well-formatted reporting).
