The Role
We are the Engineering Services team providing Engineering & Production process solutions on Bill of Materials (BOM) for Enterprise & Client New Product Introduction (NPI) under the Product Engineering Organization. We plan and execute sample unit generation for customer validation from Product’s NPI to End-of-Life (EOL).
As a Product Development Engineer, you will experience working with and learning from AMD’s engineering teams around the world—from Canada, the US, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, and Singapore. You will learn about planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution until delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Supports manufacturing specifications and Bill-of-Materials (BOM) throughout the product life cycle.
- Operates in a direct support role of engineering development.
- Responsible for planning, tracking, scheduling, and delivering early prototype samples of our products to internal and external customers on New Product Implementation (NPI) & Sustaining product.
- Works with multiple functional teams such as product engineering and supply chain to resolve material shortages, backlogs, and potential schedule interruptions.
- Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish sample schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements.
- Oversees the master schedules and ensures comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing.
- Works on small to medium-scale process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Works on related projects and/or assignments as required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with material planning, logistics, and scheduling.
- Ability to learn and pay attention to details.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with local and overseas teams.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Process-oriented thinking.
- Experience with prototyping of electronic components is an advantage.
- Familiarity with semiconductors and/or supply chain is a plus.
Academic Credentials
- Fresh graduates are welcome. Engineering degree with 2–3 years of proven track record or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
