Inside Sales Representative - London or Ireland

Overview

The Inside Sales Representative works with a team of External Account Managers on a defined territory or account list, forming part of the “account team” to engage the market, increase revenues and margin within the region/accounts. This role identifies incremental revenues within new customer opportunities and maintains and grows revenues within existing accounts. The position is 100% office-based and is a revenue-generating, revenue-closing role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and qualify new lead opportunities to drive revenue within specific target verticals
  • Generate prospective customers through warm and cold calling, and qualify leads from marketing, telemarketing, and web sources
  • Build relationships with channel partners relevant to your accounts and opportunities
  • Develop end-user relationships
  • Accurately manage all leads, opportunities, and data via the CRM tool – Salesforce.com (SFDC) – and update activity within SFDC
  • Develop, learn, and communicate specific sales propositions to end-user customers
  • Achieve all set targets and KPIs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry and Fortinet’s competitive posture
  • Engage in joint strategic and tactical planning with the Account Manager
  • Provide account management tasks such as evaluations, licenses, renewals, and quotations
  • Provide accurate forecasting alongside the Account Manager and forecast in their absence
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle for smaller opportunities, including renewals
  • Take ownership of marketing campaigns for the region/accounts, collaborating with the Telemarketing Team and reporting feedback to sales and marketing
  • Serve as “stand-in” for the account manager when they are unavailable, including forecast reviews, QBRs, and being the first contact for accounts and channel partners

Required Skills

  • At least 18 months of proven sales experience in an inside sales role, ideally in IT (security, networking, or hardware)
  • SFDC/Salesforce.com knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience in B2B sales
  • Motivated self-starter who can handle ambiguity
  • Hunter mentality with excellent communication skills
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to exceed targets and KPIs
  • Self-confident and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
