Intern - Audit

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive intern to join the internal audit team covering the Private Banking business across Asia. The successful candidate will integrate into a high-performing team and participate in audits across processes such as client onboarding, sales and suitability, products and operations, ensuring robust control environments and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the team in planning and executing internal audits.
• Perform walkthroughs, test controls, and assess compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare clear and concise audit documentation, findings, and recommendations for process improvements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand processes and identify areas of risk.
• Support the follow-up and resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
• Utilize data analytics to identify emerging risks (data analytics skills are a plus).

Requirements / Skillset

• Candidates must be currently enrolled at a recognized university, with preference for penultimate or final-year students. In addition to finance-related degrees, applicants from diverse backgrounds—including engineering, mathematics, and technology—will be considered.
• A broad understanding of the banking industry and investment products is a plus. Any prior experience in finance, accounting, or risk is relevant.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Excel. Understanding of basic data analytics tools and techniques is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while proactively seeking guidance from senior auditors.
