Overview

The Global RFP Team, with professionals in New York, Chicago, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, collaborates closely with each of the firm’s distribution channels and investment teams to craft responsive marketing material for prospective and existing client questionnaires. The team works across all distribution channels, responding to requests from the firm’s various client types from around the world. The team is committed to consistently and efficiently delivering high-quality proposals to enhance our global sales, marketing, and client service efforts. The RFP writer will work across various departments at the firm, providing an opportunity to learn about the asset management industry and build relationships with investment professionals and colleagues at varying levels of seniority.

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes initiative to continually improve the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of our submissions. This newly created role will focus on building relationships, seeking efficiencies, and coordinating the submission of RFPs and questionnaires through online portals. Working as part of the Global RFP Team, the successful candidate will ensure that all RFPs submitted through online portals are completed in a timely manner and tailored to investor and portal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build an expert understanding of online questionnaire submission platforms, leveraging efficiencies across portal entries (including AI, APIs, automation, etc.).
  • Maintain strong relationships with online platform providers.
  • Research, initiate, and implement innovative ideas to increase efficiency and advance the goals of the submission process for RFPs and DDQs through online portals.
  • Project manage the coordination and completion of RFPs and DDQs, with a focus on those originating from online portals.
  • Ensure deadlines are met with consistent and accurate messaging across all questionnaires.
  • Collaborate with investment professionals and senior staff (e.g., ESG, legal, compliance, operations, finance, risk, client service, technology, etc.) to craft accurate responses to standard and customized questions.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the firm’s product offerings and investment capabilities, applying financial acumen to RFP materials.
  • Master the RFP process while seeking to improve the efficiency and quality of submissions.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree (finance, economics, or business preferred).
  • Up to 2 years’ experience in an RFP role, ideally within asset management or a financial firm.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage time in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Process-oriented with exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative team environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate clear responses to senior members of the firm in various settings and styles.
  • Self-starter with initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $65,000–$75,000. This range reflects the lowest to highest amount we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range applies to jobs performed in the posting location. An employee’s pay position within the range will be based on factors including, but not limited to, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, and market benchmarking data. This job is eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, forms part of the total compensation package. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement, life insurance, and other benefits to eligible employees.
