Financial Planning (Expense Management) Intern

Internship Period: 3 August 2026 – 31 December 2026

Job Description

The GCIB APAC Financial Planning team tracks and evaluates the performance of the portfolio, prioritizes and allocates resources to support business growth, and generates insights for management decisions. The role focuses on generating insights, including explaining historical data trends, validating strategies, and forecasting.

• Provide support for in-depth business analysis of GCIB APAC expenses and headcount-related matters
• Manage and run datasets and reporting; maintain data integrity across datasets
• Perform reconciliation of data/reports and follow up on required changes
• Collaborate with other teams and countries on data requests and support

Requirements

We are seeking a candidate who is business-oriented and passionate about working with large amounts of data to generate insights and build models to support decision-making. Knowledge or interest in data systems and processes to build internal tools for efficiency is advantageous.

• Proactive and able to work independently as well as in a team
• Committed and flexible; able to meet tight deadlines
• Analytical mindset with a problem-solving orientation; enjoys working with large datasets
• Knowledge of programming languages and analytical tools; understanding of financial processes is a plus

This internship role is based in Singapore. It is open to Singaporean and PR students only.
