Financial Institutions Intern
Internship Period
3 August 2026 – 31 December 2026
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist the business in developing strategic initiatives for FI business development as a regional hub, jointly with the spoke countries of the coverage region, and implement them with FI Relationship Managers and internal partners across MUFG; help deliver financial targets.
- Serve as the primary analyst on key FI Asia projects to be submitted/presented to the Co-Global Head of Financial Institutions for consideration/adoption.
- Collaborate with experienced stakeholders and learn different banking products related to Investment Banking, Institutional Investors, Sponsors Global Markets, and Transaction Banking, Treasury, etc.
- Work with coverage banking, solutions, and business management teams to understand and support proposals, credit and financial analysis, deal execution, KYC, AML, and related processes.
- Prepare written and verbal communications, including developing presentation materials and presenting to business partners and senior management.
- Collaborate with business partners to gather information, analyze progress, and build buy-in for recommendations.
- Engage in problem solving, including hypothesis development, data gathering (qualitative and quantitative), and analysis to drive feasible solutions.
- Support senior management with project management by planning and structuring work.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Keen eye for detail and proficiency in MS Office (Project, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Attention to detail and a strong desire to deliver high-quality outputs.
- Ability to work under strict timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- “Can-do” attitude and the ability to learn new topics quickly.
- Proficiency in written and spoken language.
- Ability to partner and collaborate across regions and teams to deliver best-in-class results.
- Ability to work independently and within teams to drive success for the organization.

Location & Eligibility
This internship role is based in Singapore and is open to Singaporean and PR students only. In Singapore, MUFG internship partners include National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
